It was impossible not to feel overwhelmed with emotion and pride watching tractors roll into the capital today.
1,650 of them brought Whitehall to a standstill while MPs discussed the inheritance tax policy in Westminster Hall with engines and horns echoing in the background.
Many of the young farmers driving into London today were only in their teens.
My heart ached for them because I know that for any of them lucky enough to be farming alongside their parents and grandparents, inheritance tax has the potential to end their careers before they have even begun.
It was clear from the points that MPs (of all parties) were putting forward today that constituents have been making their voices heard but frustratingly Defra, the Treasury and the Prime Minister still don't seem to be listening.
Our battle continues...
